You guys probably already came to this conclusion several pages ago, but i've had a lot of coffee and cbf reading the whole thread haha. There's nothing wrong with hip hop right now. In fact some of the shit out right now is some of the best shit i've ever heard.

1. Go here http://wolfshirtextremist.wordpress.com/

2. watch videos

3. download brolic

4. ?????

Thread tl;dr + at work, Proxies don't like Youtube + some of the artist on the first page = shit.

Heres a list of most of the stuff I'm listening to lately, Not only Hip Hop artists but Producers as well.

I find myself listening to artist/songs mainly because of the producer behind it.

J Dilla

1st Down

A Tribe called Quest.

De La Soul.

Q-tip

Busta Rhymes

Slum Village

Frank N Dank

Jay Electronica

Illa J

Mos Def

Talib Kweli

Hi-Tek

Pete Rock

Lupe Fiasco

Any one under the Wu-Tang Banner

Jay-z

Common

MF-Doom

Madlib

And haters are always going to hate but you have to give Kayne West credit for his production work and his older albums/mixtapes. Most of his main stream shit I hate.

And without sounding like a douche, Keep live and Keep it underground.

@peace from NZ are killing it at the moment, their album is the album of the year for me, just got a nice 90s feel to it and brilliant lyrics.

in all honesty though biggie wasn't much of a 'tough guy'. he only ever did hard time for drugs.

guys like yayo and gucci mane etc would probably be more classed as 'tough guys', as they've done time for murder, guns charges etc.

(NWA not included in my ramblings)

What are people's thoughts on the new JMT album? Noticed on Facebook Vinnie was having a cry about people uploading his new songs to youtube and critics saying how shitty the new album was without Stoupe. Comments section was a great read it had people supporting him to people bagging him saying that they have never heard of an underground rapper bitch about this before and that he isn't about the music more the money etc...

im a big fan of rap music which has flow and Harmony

almost all if not all the rapers coming out now dont rap to the beat of the music, to me thats just talking really fast in a different tone of voice

if u listen to Notorious or 2pac when they rap they flow to the beat of the music which is some thing the new rap coming out does not have

to help explain what im trying to say

listen to = Puffin' On Blunts And Drankin' Tanqeray

raping and flowing with the beat of the music

this is one of the reasons why i no longer listen to rap music unless its old skool stuff

^^^ I like to rape with the beat of the music :sex:

All I listen to is Hip Hop.

And you make a very valid point there Powertune. It's almost like it's not cool to be smooth and flowing, like you have to be gritty to not be classified a sell out.

i'm waiting on mine to come in the mail, i like JMT and Vinnie Paz so i try to support. Unfortunately it means everyone else has the album and i dont lol.

I agree with his facebook comments, the main point of his rant was - if you downloaded it illegally, the what right have you got to criticize it. People were all copping the leak and then bagging it. Shit if you got it for free, then really what justification have you got to criticize. You didn't pay for it lol.
